My core focus is to manage the e-learning elements of the various courses we deliver. This is mostly through different Virtual Learning Environments including moodle and blackboard. My centre is focused on school leadership so a lot of what I do is adult learning even thought the IoE is a higher education institution.
On a day-to-day basis, I am involved with academics/tutors incorporating learning technologies into their courses. This is mostly blended learning (although the blend is sometimes a bit sticky) but sometimes it’s distance learning.
In addition, my main 2009 focus is on tutoring on courses with Web 2.0 as their subject matter. I’m also involved in some projects experimenting with the use of video in teaching and learning.
